Jae was panicking.

Ava was in labor.

And he was losing his damn mind.

“OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD.” Jae paced the hospital hallway. “WHAT IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG? WHAT IF SHE NEEDS A C-SECTION? WHAT IF—”

Kai smacked him across the head.

“Dude. Shut up.”

Jae glared. “SHE’S IN THERE PUSHING OUT A WHOLE HUMAN BEING, KAI. HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO STAY CALM?”

Kai sighed. “Listen, man, you gotta pull yourself together. Ava’s got this.”

Just then, a nurse peeked out.

“Mr. Min?”

Jae snapped to attention. “YES?”

“She’s asking for you.”

Jae didn’t even wait. He sprinted into the delivery room.

Inside the Delivery Room

Ava looked like she wanted to commit actual murder.

“JAE. YOU DID THIS TO ME.”

Jae gulped. “I—I know, baby, I’m so sorry.”

Ava’s grip on his hand was crushing his bones.

Jae winced. “Ow, ow, ow—”

“I DON’T CARE IF IT HURTS. I’M IN LABOR.”

Jae immediately shut up. Good point.

The doctor looked up. “One more big push, Ava.”

Ava groaned. “I swear to God, Jae, if you ever touch me again after this—”

“YES, MA’AM. WHATEVER YOU SAY.”

And then—

A cry.

A tiny, beautiful cry.

Jae froze.

The doctor smiled. “It’s a girl.”

Ava, exhausted, teared up immediately. “She’s here?”

Jae could barely breathe as the nurse placed the tiny, wriggling baby onto Ava’s chest.

Ava sobbed. “She’s perfect.”

Jae leaned down, pressing kisses to Ava’s forehead, to her cheeks, to her lips.

“I love you,” he whispered, voice thick with emotion. “You’re incredible.”

Ava smiled tiredly. “Meet your daughter, Jae.”

Jae looked down at the baby, who had his eyes and Ava’s nose.

His heart shattered into a million pieces.

He stroked her tiny face. “Hey, little one. It’s Daddy.”

The baby stretched a tiny hand and gripped his finger.

Jae immediately started crying.

“Oh my God.” His voice cracked. “I’m never letting anything happen to you.”

Ava sniffled. “She needs a name.”

Jae kissed her forehead. “You choose, baby.”

Ava looked down at their daughter and smiled softly.

“Sera.”

Jae grinned. “Sera Min. I love it.”

Outside the Delivery Room

Kai was practically vibrating with impatience.

“WHAT IS TAKING SO LONG? WHAT IF JAE FAINTED? WHAT IF AVA DECIDED TO LEAVE HIM FOR THE DOCTOR?”

Lily sighed. “Kai, calm down.”

Then, the door finally opened.

Jae walked out, looking completely wrecked but glowing with happiness.

Kai jumped to his feet. “WELL?”

Jae grinned. “It’s a girl.”

Silence.

Then—

Kai collapsed onto the floor.

Lily gasped. “Kai?”

Kai, lying dramatically on the floor, sobbed into his hands.

“I’M AN UNCLE.”

Jae rolled his eyes. “Oh my God.”

Kai suddenly grabbed Jae’s collar.

“LISTEN TO ME, MIN. IF YOU DON’T TREAT THAT BABY LIKE A DAMN PRINCESS, I SWEAR—”

Jae shoved him off. “Relax, drama queen. She’s literally my daughter.”

Kai sniffled. “I just… I can’t believe Ava actually had a kid. Our Ava. The same Ava we bullied for years.”

Lily grinned. “Well, she survived you idiots. I think she’ll be fine.”

Kai suddenly gasped. “OH MY GOD. WAIT. WE NEED A CELEBRATION.”

Jae sighed. “Kai, it’s literally 3 a.m.”

Kai ignored him. “A BABY PARTY. SECTION E NEEDS TO MEET BABY MIN.”

The Section E Baby Takeover

A week later, Jae regretted everything.

Section E showed up at his house unannounced.

Eli was crying. “OH MY GOD. LOOK AT HER.”

Lily gently held Sera. “She’s so tiny!”

Noah smirked. “So, when’s the next one, Jae?”

Jae glared. “Get out of my house.”

Kai stood dramatically in the corner.

Everyone turned to look at him.

Jae sighed. “What now?”

Kai sniffled. “I just realized something.”

Jae groaned. “What?”

Kai pointed at Sera.

“She’s going to grow up.”

Jae blinked. “Uh, yeah?”

Kai grabbed Jae’s shoulders, shaking him violently.

“THAT MEANS BOYS. TEENAGE BOYS.”

Jae’s entire body stiffened.

Ava, holding Sera, slowly backed away.

Jae’s face darkened. “I will end them all.”

Kai nodded. “We must protect her at all costs.”

Section E cheered in agreement.

Ava sighed. “Oh God. My daughter’s going to grow up with a bunch of overprotective idiots.”

Jae grinned, wrapping an arm around her waist. “Damn right she is.”

Ava smiled softly, looking down at Sera.

“Welcome to the family, baby girl.”

And just like that—

The chaos of their lives continued.

But now?

It was even better than before.
