Now, it was about to get even crazier.

Ava sat on the couch, staring at the pregnancy test in her hands. The little plus sign practically mocked her.

She was pregnant.

Pregnant.

She blinked. “Oh. My. God.”

The realization hit her like a truck. She was carrying Jae’s child.

Her entire body went cold. How was she supposed to tell Jae?

A sudden voice made her nearly jump out of her skin.

Jae’s hands moved to her stomach, his touch unbelievably soft. “Our baby’s in here?”

Ava felt warmth spread through her chest. “Yeah.”

Jae exhaled shakily, then dropped to his knees.

He pressed a soft kiss to her stomach. “Hey, little one. It’s your dad. You have no idea how much I love you already.”

Ava felt tears prick her eyes.

Jae stood up, his expression suddenly turning serious. “Wait. I need to tell everyone.”

Ava’s eyes widened. “Jae, no—”

Jae was already calling Kai.

Kai’s Meltdown

When Kai picked up the phone, he sounded half asleep.

“What do you want, Min? It’s literally midnight—”

Kai’s scream was so loud Ava had to pull the phone away from her ear.

Ava blinked. “Is he… crying?”

Kai’s voice came back, shaky and full of betrayal.

“HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?”

Jae laughed. “What the hell are you crying for?”

Kai sniffled. “AVA. MY BEST FRIEND. SHE’S GONE. SHE’S A MOTHER NOW. I CAN’T EVEN TEASE HER ANYMORE.”

Ava rolled her eyes. “Kai, I’m literally still here.”

Kai ignored her. “I WASN’T READY FOR THIS. I NEED TIME TO PROCESS.”

Jae smirked. “Well, you have nine months, buddy.”

The Section E Baby Hysteria
