Married life was supposed to be peaceful.
For Jae and Ava, it was anything but.
Between Jae’s over-the-top possessiveness, Ava’s unmatched ability to drive him crazy, and Kai constantly third-wheeling, life in the Min household was absolute chaos.
Morning Routine? More Like War.
Ava was peacefully enjoying her coffee when Jae walked in, shirtless and still half-asleep.
She looked at him. “Morning, husband.”
Jae smirked. “Morning, wife.”
And just when Ava thought it would be a normal day, Kai dramatically burst through the front door.
“Ava, Jae! Tragedy has struck!”
Ava groaned. “Kai, why do you have a key to our house?”
Jae, who was clearly one second away from kicking him out, sighed. “What now?”
Kai collapsed onto their couch like it was his own house.
“The love of my life rejected me.”
Ava blinked. “Which one?”
Jae snorted.
Kai shot them a glare. “That’s not important!”
Ava sighed. “Kai, you get rejected at least once a week. Why are you so dramatic?”
Kai placed a hand over his heart. “How dare you? My pain is real.”
Jae rolled his eyes. “Kai, I swear to God, if you came into my house at 7 AM to cry about another failed love confession—”
Kai cut him off. “Oh please, you should be thanking me for bringing excitement into your boring married life.”
Ava raised an eyebrow. “Boring? You call living with Jae boring?”
Jae smirked. “You heard her, Kai.”
Kai fake gagged. “Ugh. Gross. You two are disgusting.”
Jae casually wrapped an arm around Ava’s waist. “Jealous?”
Kai huffed. “Absolutely.”
Date Night = Third Wheel Kai
Jae and Ava were supposed to have a romantic dinner.
Jae had booked the best restaurant, bought Ava’s favorite wine, and was ready to enjoy a peaceful night with his wife.
But of course, Kai showed up.
Uninvited.
“Fancy seeing you two here,” Kai said as he casually sat down at their table.
Jae pinched the bridge of his nose. “No. No, you’re not doing this.”
Ava just sighed, sipping her wine. She was used to it at this point.
Kai waved at a waiter. “I’ll have what they’re having.”
Jae looked at Ava. “I swear to God, if he doesn’t leave in the next five minutes, I’m throwing him into the ocean.”
Ava just patted his arm. “Let him have his moment. He’s lonely.”
Kai gasped. “How dare you! I am a highly desired man!”
Ava smirked. “Really? Then why are you here, third-wheeling?”
Kai narrowed his eyes. “Ava. I thought we were friends.”
Jae smirked. “She’s my wife first.”
Kai dramatically stood up. “Fine! I see when I’m not wanted!”
Jae leaned back, satisfied. “Finally.”
Five minutes later, Kai came back.
“I forgot my wallet.”
Jae looked one second away from actually strangling him.
Jealous Jae vs. Oblivious Ava
Ava had always been friendly.
Which was a problem for Jae.
One time, a waiter at a café flirted with Ava.
Jae did not take it well.
“Here’s your coffee, miss. And might I say, your smile is absolutely stunning.”
Ava, completely unaware, just smiled. “Oh, thank you!”
Jae?
Fuming.
The poor waiter barely survived Jae’s death glare.
Ava noticed nothing. She was too busy sipping her coffee.
But Kai? Oh, Kai noticed everything.
And he was having the time of his life.
He leaned in. “Jealous, Mr. Min?”
Jae scoffed. “I have nothing to be jealous of.”
Kai smirked. “Sure, buddy. Sure.”
Ava finally looked at Jae. “Why are you glaring at my coffee?”
Kai wheezed.
Jae just sighed. Being Ava’s husband was a full-time job.
Nighttime Chaos
Ava was trying to sleep.
Jae, however, had other plans.
He was staring at her.
Like a weirdo.
Ava groaned, rolling over. “Jae. Why are you watching me sleep?”
Jae smirked. “Because I can.”
Ava narrowed her eyes. “That’s creepy.”
Jae shrugged. “Too bad. You’re my wife.”
Ava sighed. “I regret marrying you.”
Jae leaned in, kissing her forehead. “No, you don’t.”
Ava grumbled. “Shut up.”
Jae smirked, pulling her closer.
“Goodnight, Mrs. Min.”
Ava rolled her eyes but snuggled into him anyway.
Married life with Jae was exhausting.
But Ava wouldn’t have it any other way.
