Chapter: A Proposal Worthy of Section E

Ava had always known that Jae Min was dramatic.

From the moment they met, he had a way of making every moment feel intense, over-the-top, and absolutely ridiculous.

So, when it came to his proposal, of course, it couldn’t be normal.

It started with a fake emergency.

Ava had been working late in her studio, sketching a new collection, when Kai burst through the door, panting like he ran a marathon.

“Ava! It’s an emergency!” he yelled.

She shot him a blank look. “I swear to God, if this is another one of your pranks—”

“It’s Jae,” Kai gasped, gripping his chest. “I think he’s dying.”

Her heart stopped.

Without another word, she bolted out the door, racing to Jae’s penthouse.

When she arrived, she found candles.

Roses.

A literal string quartet.

And Section E standing in a suspiciously coordinated formation, holding up letters that spelled out ‘MARRY ME?’

Ava blinked. Then turned to Kai.

“You made it sound like he was on his deathbed.”

Kai shrugged. “Well, technically, if you had said no, he would’ve died of heartbreak.”

Ava groaned, but before she could yell at him, Jae appeared.

Dressed in a sharp suit, his usual cocky smirk was gone—replaced by something softer, something real.

He walked toward her slowly, dropping to one knee without hesitation.

“Ava,” he started, his voice steady but filled with emotion, “You’ve been driving me insane since the day we met. You make me crazy, you make me jealous, and you make me the happiest man alive.”

She felt her breath hitch.

Jae took her hand, his thumb tracing circles over her skin. “I don’t want a single day of my life without you in it. You’re my past, my present, and the only future I want.”

Then, he pulled out the ring.

Ava bit her lip. Hard.

The entire Section E was screaming at this point.

Kai was crying dramatically. Minho was filming. Lily and Eli were throwing actual confetti.

Jae, however, didn’t look away from her. “So, Ava Lee, will you make me the luckiest man alive and marry me?”

Ava stared at him.

Then smirked. “Hmm… I don’t know. Let me think—”

Jae groaned. “Ava.”

She grinned before finally answering, “Of course, you idiot.”

And the moment she said it, Jae crashed his lips onto hers, spinning her around as the entire Section E erupted in cheers.

“ABOUT TIME!” Kai wailed. “MY FIRST LOVE IS GONE, BUT AT LEAST IT’S OFFICIAL.”

Eli patted Jae on the back. “Congrats, man. You really are whipped.”

Jae, still holding Ava, smirked. “And proud of it.”

Ava rolled her eyes, but deep down, she knew—she wouldn’t want it any other way
