“Can you believe it?” Lily sighed, dramatically draping herself over Ava’s desk. “We’re actually graduating.”

Ava chuckled, spinning her pen between her fingers. “I know, crazy, right? Feels like just yesterday I transferred in, and now we’re about to leave.”

“Ugh, I hate it,” Kai groaned, flopping onto the desk next to her. “Who am I going to annoy every day after this?!”

Jae, who had been leaning against the wall behind Ava, smirked. “Not her, that’s for sure.”

Kai gasped, clutching his chest. “So possessive. This is why I’ve suffered the greatest heartbreak of all.”

Ava rolled her eyes. “Kai, we’ve been through this. You never had a chance.”

“I could have!” Kai insisted. “In an alternate universe where Jae didn’t breathe down my neck every time I got within two feet of you.”

Jae scoffed. “That’s because you kept making moves on my girlfriend.”

Kai smirked. “You make it sound so criminal.”

“It was.”

The entire classroom burst into laughter, while Kai dramatically wiped a fake tear.

“This is it, isn’t it?” he sighed. “The last few days of Section E. Our legacy of chaos, rebellion, and near-death experiences.”

Minho chuckled. “You make it sound like a crime documentary.”

Lily grinned. “I mean, we did kind of live a full-on action movie.”

Eli nodded. “Facts. How many high school students can say they had actual gunfights, secret admirers, and a mafia-level revenge plot?”

Ava sighed, leaning back in her chair. “Somehow, I still feel like the most dramatic part of my life was dealing with you people.”

Jae smirked, leaning down to press a quick kiss to her temple. “And you loved every second of it.”

Ava rolled her eyes but couldn’t hide her smile. “I hate that you’re right.”

Kai groaned. “Ugh, even in our last days, you two are still disgustingly in love.”

“Oh, don’t act like you’re not going to cry at the graduation ceremony,” Lily teased.

Kai scoffed. “Me? Cry? Please. The only thing I’ll be crying about is how boring life will be without Ava rejecting me every day.”

Ava snorted. “Well, you’ll have to find someone else to reject you, because I’m stuck with Jae.”

Jae grinned. “Damn right, you are.”

As Section E continued their usual nonsense, Ava looked around the room, taking it all in.
