The teasing from Section E didn’t stop for a second. Ever since the unexpected kiss in gym class, Ava couldn’t go a single moment without hearing remarks about it. Whether it was in the hallways, during lunch, or even in class, someone always found a way to bring it up.
“Hey, Mrs. Jae, do you want to sit with your husband?” Kai smirked, pulling out a chair for Ava next to Jae during lunch.
Minho grinned. “No need to be shy, Ava. You’ve already shared a kiss in front of us. What’s a little couple’s lunch?”
Ava groaned, burying her face in her hands. “You guys are insufferable.”
Jae, on the other hand, was absolutely basking in the attention. He leaned back in his seat, arms crossed over his chest, watching Ava with his signature smirk. “I don’t mind, you know,” he said casually. “I think ‘husband’ has a nice ring to it.”
Ava shot him a glare. “Shut up.”
“Oh, don’t be shy,” Kai chuckled. “You liked it, didn’t you?”
Ava nearly choked on her drink. “Excuse me?!”
The group burst into laughter, but the amusement only pushed Jae further. He stood up, walking toward Ava with slow, deliberate steps. Something in his gaze darkened—dangerous, possessive, determined.
The teasing continued around them, voices blending together. “Just admit it, Ava! You liked it!”
Then, without warning, Jae gripped her wrist and pulled her to her feet. Before Ava could even process what was happening, he pinned her against the nearest wall, his body mere inches from hers. The room fell into complete silence.
His eyes locked onto hers, intense and unwavering. “You guys want to see a real kiss?” he murmured, his voice low, teasing but undeniably serious.
Ava’s breath hitched. “Jae—”
And then, he kissed her.
Unlike the accidental brush of lips in gym class, this was deliberate. Slow. Deep. A silent claim in front of everyone watching. His hands rested firmly on her waist, holding her in place as if daring her to pull away.
But she didn’t.
Gasps echoed through the room, followed by deafening cheers and whistles.
“OH MY GOD!” Lily screamed.
Kai’s jaw dropped. “Bro just—he just—”
Minho was grinning like he’d won the lottery. “That’s our section leader, alright.”
When Jae finally pulled back, Ava was breathless, her face burning. He leaned in close, his lips just barely brushing her ear. “Now they can tease you for something real,” he whispered, his voice filled with satisfaction.
Ava shoved him back, her heart pounding. “You—you—”
Jae only chuckled, running a hand through his hair as he turned to their stunned audience. “Happy now?”
The room erupted into chaos, and Ava swore she was going to lose her mind.
