It started with a bet.
Minho, being the chaos enabler he was, had come up with it. “Ava, I bet you can’t last a week without blushing around Jae.”
Ava snorted. “Easy.”
“Challenge accepted.” Jae’s voice was smug. Too smug.
Ava should have known better.
Day one? Hell. Jae found every excuse to invade her space. Leaning over her shoulder, brushing his fingers against hers, murmuring in her ear when unnecessary.
Day two? Worse. He “accidentally” made her sit next to him in every class. Section E was losing it.
Day three? Jae fed her a bite of his food at lunch.
Ava froze mid-chew, the entire cafeteria SCREAMING as Jae simply smirked and wiped a nonexistent crumb from her lip.
“You lose,” he murmured.
Ava threw her fork at him.
Day four? Jae decided physical touch was his new favorite weapon.
During group activities, his hand would linger on her back. His fingers would brush against hers whenever possible. One time, he tugged at the hem of her sweater, whispering, “Cold, sunshine?” in that voice, making her drop her book in frustration.
By day five, Ava was hiding behind her notebook while Section E placed bets on when she’d finally break.
