Ava had a new mission.
And that mission?
Get Minho and Lily together.
Because seriously, how blind could two people be? Minho had been staring at Lily like a lovesick puppy, and Lily—who blushed every time Minho so much as breathed near her—clearly liked him too.
But would either of them do anything about it?
Of course not.
Which was why Ava Moon was taking matters into her own hands.
She cracked her knuckles, grinning mischievously.
"Time to cause some chaos."
Step One: Plant the Seed 🌱
Ava leaned against Minho’s desk, her expression smug.
"So," she began casually, "what do you think about Lily?"
Minho, who had been lazily doodling on his notebook, nearly snapped his pencil in half.
"What?"
"You know, Lily. Section A. Super pretty. Super sweet. Super into you."
Minho scoffed. "She’s not into me."
Ava rolled her eyes. "Please. She turns red every time you exist in her general vicinity."
Minho looked skeptical. "She does not—"
"Oh, she does."
Ava crossed her arms. "And don’t even try to deny it, Minho. I’ve seen the way you look at her."
Minho froze.
Ava smirked. Gotcha.
Step Two: Set the Trap 🪤
Ava’s next target?
Lily.
She found the girl in the library, flipping through a poetry book. Soft, sweet, and completely oblivious to Minho’s suffering.
Ava slid into the seat across from her. "So… Minho, huh?"
Lily immediately choked on air.
"W-What?"
Ava leaned in, smirking. "Don’t even try to play innocent. I know you like him."
Lily turned the color of a tomato. "I—I don’t—"
Ava arched a brow. "Uh-huh. So if I were to set you up with him, you wouldn’t say yes?"
Lily stared at her notebook like it held the secrets of the universe. "...I didn’t say that."
Bingo.
Ava clapped her hands together. "Perfect. Now, onto the next step."
Lily blinked. "Next step?"
Ava grinned. "Oh, you’ll see."
Step Three: Forced Proximity 😏
The next day, Ava set her genius plan into action.
It started with a simple push.
Literally.
Minho was walking past Lily’s desk when Ava “accidentally” bumped into him—hard.
Minho lost his balance.
Lily gasped.
And the next thing they knew, Minho was falling straight onto her.
The room went silent.
Minho was half on top of Lily, their faces inches apart.
Someone whistled.
"Well, damn," Eli muttered. "Didn’t know we were watching a romance drama."
Lily looked like she was about to pass out.
Minho looked like his brain had stopped functioning.
Ava?
She looked very, very pleased with herself.
Minho finally scrambled to his feet, face burning. "Ava, what the hell?!"
Ava batted her eyelashes innocently. "Oops. My bad."
Lily was still bright red.
Ava leaned in and whispered, "You’re welcome."
Lily hid her face behind her notebook.
Step Four: Let the Magic Happen ✨
Ava watched, smirking to herself, as Minho and Lily slowly started talking more.
At first, it was awkward. Stolen glances. Flushed cheeks. Nervous laughter.
But then—
One day, Minho walked Lily to class.
The next day, Lily saved him a seat at lunch.
And then, Minho "casually" gave Lily his jacket when she said she was cold.
Ava was a proud mother.
"You’re scary when you scheme," Jae muttered beside her, watching the scene unfold.
Ava grinned. "You love it."
Jae snorted. "No comment."
Ava turned to him, grinning mischievously. "You jealous, Jae?"
Jae smirked, voice low. "Of Minho? No."
The way he looked at her sent shivers down Ava’s spine.
For the first time, she realized—maybe she wasn’t the only matchmaker here.
